Have found reason as to why computer not working.

Hard disk died already.

Means a lot of camwhoring pictures died with it.

Means no camwhoring posts for awhile until I get me a new hard disk.

Means no point updating.

Means I’m DAMN PISSED LAH KNNBCCBTLPKHKC!!!!!!!!!!!

Whee.

Sigh.

Ow. Get a new hard disk AND a new hard disk as backup (2.5″ 80GB only RM225 at Lowyat with slim casing) wei. Do not let this national catastrophe recur.

you can actually send for data recovery if you want.. but it’ll cost u some cash.. depends if your data is valuable enough

I’m sure most of us don’t come here for camwhoring pics only. Do write whatever you feel like, speaking for myself, I enjoy most of your posts. Maybe can post from work .. if nobody snitches on you that is

On a different note, if your HDD no longer has a valid warranty and you are considering throwing it away you can try this :

1) Put your HDD in a sealed plastic bag, then dump it in your freezer for 20-30 mins. Reconnect it to your PC and see if it works, if it does make backup of whatever data you want and then throw it away when it stops working again.

Before you start calling me names and try to get me interred into Tanjung Rambutan here is why this method works sometimes :

Most HDD have a thin layer of sapphire coating which creates a thin air layer allowing your HDD to spin without making contact with the non-spinning part. Most cases of HDD failure is caused by the cracks in the spinning part which destroys the air-seal leading to the ” Crap, my HDD is not working .. F**k it !!” condition. Freezing causes the metal head to shring a little and if you are very lucky you’ll be able to retrieve your data.

2) Another method is to wrap your HDD in foil and put in into your oven at low heat overnight.

I’ve never personally tried either methods but have friends who have tried this and it works in most cases .. one of my friend salvaged 4 HDD from his workplace. Good luck.

erm , just reread my post and noticed lots of mistakes .. “interred into Tjg.Rambutan” and “shring” comes to mind .. lol . Just tried smoking but it made me very dizzy .. not gonna touch the stuff again … but the info I gave you was from reliable sources (unlike my head which seems to be spinning at the moment) so do give it a try. Sorry for the rant style post
